We often get asked what tools we use everyday to customise installations and to test computers. So I am starting a list of stuff which we use, I hope some of you find this information useful.

nLite - Used to fully automate Windows Installations, only info we need to put in is OEM Serial (Win 2000 / XP).

OpenCD - Has a bunch of Open Source software which we use to customise systems to specific needs (Win 2000 / XP).

Edubuntu / Ubuntu Linux Alternate Install - Easy install, OEM mode lets clients enter all their details post install (Linux).

SystemRescueCD - Has many OSS tools to help with various HDD tests and secure data deletion. Its a bootable cd (Linux based) and compatable with most major file systems including NTFS.

We are always looking for software to use on our machines, including tools for testing! If you know some cool stuff that might be able to help us then just let us know! We would love to hear from you! You can email click@clickonline.org.au or just comment on this blog!
