This weekend started with a trip to Lloydy’s place to try out his Wii. Normally I am not one to spend hours in front of a TV or Monitor, so I was hoping we would do something else as well. I knew the Wii was different from other gaming consoles, but I wasnt expecting it to be that different.
Let me tell you, the Wii adds a lot more interactivity into the gaming experience. It was unbelievable how fun it was to play the Wii! Before we knew it it was 1:00am and we had been playing the Wii for about 7 hours. Before that about 2 hours at one time was the amount i had ever played a console or PC game.
I went home and told my wife, Sue, how fun it was! She was very envious that I had played the Wii before her as she has wanted to get one as soon as she heard about the concept… the plus side of this was she didnt need much convincing to get one 
Saturday morning came and even though I was nursing a Wii induced tennis elbow, I knew I was addicted. All I could think
was playing the Wii… I was hooked. I haven’t been this taken in like this with anything before. That afternoon we went out and purchased a Wii!
The Wii came with Wii Sports which is one of the most addictive games there is. It gives you a series of sports - tennis, baseball, bowling, golf, and boxing!
Along with the console we got an extra controller, that came with Wii Play, Wii Play is ok but has to be one of the most
frustrating games there is. Sue loved it, I hated it…. mainly because it showed off my real bade hand eye co-ordination which made me blame the controller with slurs like “this f’ing controller is faulty”. Sue watched me blame the controller the whole time knowing that we had played Wii Sports with it fine 
Anyway, we bought some other games too. We got Rampage Total Destruction, I played rampage on my old Sega Megadrive and could remember bashing the hell out of everything on the screen and thought how much fun it would be with the Wii… It is very fun!!! Also we got Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Super Fruit Fall which we haven’t played yet.
