Sunday marked a historic day for both CLiCK and Parent Project Australia (PPA) as both Matt Vapor from CLiCK and Deb Robbins from PPA met to handover the first of many PCs to go to families who are affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
PPA supports many families who are affected by or suffer from two genetic diseases in the group of neuromuscular
disorders refered to as the dystrophinopathies. As part of their support model PPA utilities communication technologies to ensure all families are able to stay in touch. This is done through the use of many online technologies. However many families who are members of PPA are unable to afford computers due to their commitment to the care of their loved ones who suffer from neuromuscular disorders leading to many economic disadvantages.
Families around Australia who are members of PPA will be able to obtain a computer for free from CLiCK to enable them to join the national communication support network which PPA provides.
It is with great pride that CLiCK is able to help PPA and its members.
